Dolce & Gabbana Luminous Liquid Foundation

liquid

At least five times a week someone asks me what kind of foundation and powder I wear. I think once they ask, they kind of wished they hadn’t because I ramble on for days. I can’t say enough about the Dolce & Gabbana cosmetics line. EVERYTHING I have tried from them is amazing. I normally wear the cream foundation, but I recently had the chance to try the Luminous Liquid Foundation, $60 at sakfithavenue.com. I love the sheen of this foundation. It does not provide the amount of coverage or hydration as the cream version, but it has a beautiful texture that makes your skin just glow. I think this foundation will be perfect for summer when I want a lighter look. The other thing I must add is, these foundations photograph beautifully. My main man Russ at the Beverly Hills Saks Fifth Avenue said, that during awards season in L.A., they were nearly wiped out of their stock. The word on the street is this is without a doubt one of the best cosmetics to wear in front of the camera. It makes your complexion look picture perfect. When people ask me if my skin is really this flawless, I say, well I have a little help from my friends. Thank you Dolce & Gabbana. Now, Say cheese!

NYX Lipstick in Haute Melon

When I decided to name my blog Must Love Lipstick, I meant it! It is one of my biggest obsessions. Often times the color lipstick I wear determines the mood I’m in. If you feel like I review way too many lipsticks, I apologize. Every girl has their one thing they can’t get enough of! After years of spending tons of money on high end makeup, I’ve finally discovered some amazing bargain brands. NYX has some phenomenal products that won’t break the bank. Gotta LOVE that. For the price of a latte, I can buy a new lipstick for every day of the week. I picked up this NYX creamy lipstick in Haute Melon, $3.99 at CVS and it is the perfect color for summer. It has a nice coral hue and is extremely moisturizing. The other lipsticks I have tried from NYX ,have always been matte which I adore as well, but this just felt plain good on my lips! It’s the perfect color to complement your faux tan. I paired it with a pale eye and my favorite coral blush by Tarte and was loving the fresh look. It is definitely more subtle than my usual bright, bold colors but every bit as beautiful. I just feel the need to pucker up! xx

St. Moriz Dark Instant Self Tanning Lotion

Ladies, if there is one thing I can’t emphasize enough, it is the damage the sun and harmful rays have on your skin. Not only can it cause skin cancer, it will most certainly cause premature aging. The damage from the harmful UV rays, not only breaks down the collagen in our skin it also causes sun spots. I have been a big fan of self tanners for years maybe even decades! I never leave the house without sunblock. My face has literally not seen the sun since I was seventeen. I definitely went through a tanning phase as a teenager, but the moment I started modeling and was aware what the sun would do to my skin if I kept it up, I stopped for good. It is without a doubt the best thing I ever did for my skin. You all know my favorite self tanner is Xen Tan, but at $40 a bottle and a self proclaimed self tanning addict, I had to find an alternative. I was eagerly searching the web and kept coming across reviews of a self tanner by St. Moriz that is mainly sold in the UK. People RAVED about it. I was lucky enough to find it on Amazon.com for $10. I’m almost a little scared to let the cat out of the bag, but I think I need to share this great find. After all, the color this self tanner gives you, will leave you completely satisfied that you can no longer really tan in the sun! Your skin will thank you years down the road when you look way younger than your actual years. Oh, the beauty of science. Who doesn’t want to look like they just got back from that tropical vacation even if you’ve spent your days at the office? NOT me!

NYC Expert Last Lip Color in Traffic Jam

Just as the weather is about to get HOT, so are you. This Expert Last Lip Color in Traffic Jam by NYC, $1.99 at CVS.com is sure to heat up your summer days, and nights. This is the first time I’ve tried one of their lipsticks, and this color definitely demands some attention! I first lined my lips with my Make up Forever Lip Line Perfector, $19 at Sephora.com, and then layered a generous coat of the Expert Last Lip Color on top. The color and the creamy texture of this lipstick are absolute pure perfection. One of the main reasons I love this lipstick, is because not only is it highly pigmented, it doesn’t dry my lips out like most BOLD colored lipsticks. This really has major staying power too. But a word of advice, this might not be the perfect color to wear out on a night with your man. Believe me ladies, I learned the hard way. Let’s just say this lipstick looks better on my lips than his-

FING’RS PRINTS L.A. Kings Inspired Press-On Nails

I’m definitely an L.A. girl at heart and you know how we feel about our sports teams. So let’s just say when one of our teams is in the playoffs, we go ALL OUT! So what’s a girl to do to support the team? How about a manicure that pays tribute to our favorite team. When I saw these press-on nails by Fing’rsPrints, $7.49 at CVS.com, I knew I had to snatch them up. I had reviewed these a few weeks back but I couldn’t help but review them a second time around. What I truly adore about these nails is you can literally apply them in a few minutes. The colors are perfect for showing everyone we’re #1! The NHL playoffs definitely kept as at the edge of our seats and I would say with the double OT, this game was a nail biter…but let’s be honest ladies, these nails are far too FABULOUS to bite! Congrats to the LA KINGS for an amazing season and bringing home the Stanley Cup.
It’s no wonder I LOVE L.A.-
