I love a product that multi-tasks. Alpha Beta Glow pads by Dr. Deniss Gross, starting at $12 at Sephora.com, are amazing. These little pads not only gently exfoliate your skin, they also provide a nice bronze color to your skin as well. I apply this product on my freshly cleansed skin right before bed. By morning, my skin looks well rested and bronzed. This peel is infused with vitamin D and helps to lighten sun spots, smooth your complexion, and combats fine lines and wrinkles. For those of you that don’t want a tan, there is a colorless version available as well. I have tried both, and they are equally as great. I find the pads are large enough to use twice, so I cut mine in half and put the unused portion in a zip lock baggy. This will give you a little more bang for your buck! So even if you’ve been spending your cold winter days inside, you can look like you just got back from that tropical vacation. Who doesn’t love that?
Ioma Youthful Day/Night Moisture Cream
While I was at Saks Fifth Avenue the other day, I was encouraged by a woman representing a newer line called Ioma, to do a skincare analysis. They had a machine that you rest your chin on and it takes a few pictures. Minutes later it tells you all about the current condition of your skin. Although mine ranked good in the fine lines and wrinkles category, my hydration was seriously lacking. No surprise here as I have always had extremely dry skin. After the consultation, they give you a print out with photos of your skin and a list of suggested products. I must say I was quite impressed! The woman that helped me also had the most beautiful skin herself. She sent me on my way with a 7 day sample pack and told me she was sure I would be back to buy the full size bottle. The entire line is supported by 10 years of high-tech scientific research. Well, I did use the entire 7 day packet both day and night and my skin felt and looked amazing. My skin stayed well hydrated throughout the day and my wrinkles actually softened. Ioma’s Youthful Day/Night moisture Cream retails for $130 for 1oz. at select Saks Fifth Avenue stores and online. I think this line is promising and I definitely want to try more of their products in the future. Stay tuned.
Eclos Instant Radiance Facial Scrub
This is one of those drugstore products I can’t live without! When I say it instantly makes your wrinkles disappear, I mean it. This scrub is one of the best scrubs I have ever used. I have tried at least 15 scrubs through the years and this one takes the cake. It retails for $12.99 at Ulta.com and select Walgreens stores. One tube lasts me a few months. I use this scrub at least three times a week and it’s never too harsh or drying. I periodically use Retin-A and this does not irritate my skin with that combination like most scrubs. I highly recommend following your exfoliation with a hydrating mask for at least 20 minutes to seal in the moisture. This product definitely leaves you with glowing, dewy skin.
NIA24 Gentle Cleansing Cream
Nia24 Gentle Cleansing Cream is a really good anti-aging and skin tone correcting facial wash. It’s is extremely hydrating, so if you are prone to oily skin, I would suggest skipping this one. I will only use face washes I can use with my beloved Clarisonic and this one works fine with it, although it doesn’t lather as much as I’d like. As with most face washes, I always suggest doing a once over with your cleanser before actually using your Clarisonic, otherwise you are just rubbing around a bunch of make-up on your face! NIA24 products are available at numerous online retailers including lovelyskin.com (one of my favorites) and dermatologist offices across the country.
