Wet n’ Wild Silk Finish Lipstick in 15 Minutes Aflame

My vanity is covered with lipstick. I have so many lipsticks that I could go an entire year without wearing the same shade twice! I know, I clearly have issues. On a recent trip to Walgreens, I noticed Wet n’ Wild had an end cap display of some new lipsticks and polishes for 99 cents. Of course I couldn’t resist. I was instantly drawn to this bold, bright, super pigmented color called 15 Minutes Aflame. I have become a HUGE fan of Wet n’ Wild products. What used to be known primarily as a cosmetic line for teens, has quickly become one of my favorite lines, especially for lipsticks. These little gems definitely give the luxury brands a run for their money! The color of this lipstick is a true bright pink. It has a super creamy but pigmented consistency that stays put for hours. At this price, I’ll surely pick up one in every color. I can simply describe these lipsticks in one word…AMAZING!

Save Your Skin During Cold & Flu Season with Boogie Wipes

I can’t believe I’m actually going to blog about a product called “Boogie Wipes,” but these are simply amazing and I just had to share! I have been battling this darn cold for weeks and was complaining to a friend about how I hate when you’re sick and your nose gets raw from all of the blowing. Ugh! Since my friend has two kids, she said that she swears by a product called Boogie Wipes. Even though these are definitely targeted for children, I will tell you these have saved my skin the past five days. They are comparable to a baby wipe but they contain saline. I opted for the fragrance free version since I have sensitive skin, and have not experienced any irritation whatsoever. These little wipes saved my face from raw, flakey skin that usually takes weeks to repair. I will never be without these during cold and flu season again! Here’s to staying healthy- xx

Dolce & Gabbana Aurealux Serum

I’ve been an avid user of serums for years. Serums are the power players of any skincare routine. They penetrate the skin deeper and treat specific concerns which allow your favorite moisturizer to seal the deal! I have been using the Aurealux Cream by Dolce & Gabbana for a few months now, but about three weeks ago, I added the Aurealux Serum into the mix and it’s amazing. As quick as technology evolves, so does skincare. Scientists are constantly finding breakthroughs that continually up the skincare game. The Aurealux Serum is a fast penetrating formula that is infused with Dolce & Gabbana’s exclusive Gold Flavo-Silk Tricomplex. It also contains italian olive oil extract and vitamin B3, which work beautifully together to help your skin retain moisture and help strengthen your skins elasticity. This serum almost immediately softens any fine lines and helps combats dryness. It does have a slight fragrance which concerned me at first because of my extremely sensitive skin, but it did not cause my eczema to flair for even a second! I use both products morning and night, and love how my skin looks and feels when I wake up in the morning. The Aurealux Serum is pricey at $129, and is sold exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue, but it’s absolutely worth every penny!

Want Beautiful Skin Head to Toe?

Want beautiful skin head to toe? It’s a New Year and the perfect time to get into a great skincare routine. We often times just focus on our facial skin, but the skin from our neck down is just as important! Our skin is the body’s largest organ, so it’s vital to take care of it not just for appearance reasons, but for overall great health. If you’re like me and you kind of over did it this holiday season, you might be in need of a quick detox. I love soaking in an Epsom Salt bath for 30 minutes at least once a week. I take two cups of salt and add it to a hot bath (as hot as I can stand) and soak for 30 minutes. So many toxins are released from my body and it is extremely relaxing. I also scrub my body every day with one of my all time favorite drugstore brand scrubs. Softsoap’s Coconut scrub is one of the best scrubs out there! I scrub my body in a circular motion with a loofah from head to toe. Once I’ve dried off, I apply Nivea’s Enriched Body lotion from my neck down. This body cream is amazing. I have been using it religiously for over ten years. It keeps my skin super hydrated and healthy. I also love the way that it keeps my skin looking dewy all day long. This is such an affordable routine that will keep your skin looking beautiful for years to come. Who doesn’t LOVE that?

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow in Medium Brown

There is one thing I’ve been getting tons of questions about lately and it’s my brows. I have been obsessed with letting my brows grow in for the past four years. Just like everything else in life, hair, makeup and yes, even brows follow trends. I’m super grateful that my eyebrows are as full as they are today, considering at one point I plucked them until they were nearly non existent! Not the prettiest look I know, but it was in at the time. I have always been a fan of brow pencils versus powder, because I could get a more precise look and I had more control over the application. I have been a fan of Anastasia in Beverly Hills for years before her name even became a household name. I remember while on set filming an episode of Felicity (yes, I ‘m dating myself) I was talking about wanting to let my brows grow back in with one of the makeup artists…who funny enough was developing her own life of cosmetics called CARGO at the time. She suggested I put down my tweezers for at least a month and book an appointment with Anastasia in Beverly Hills. She said she was the absolute best and I NEEDED to see her. I picked up the phone the next day and was told it would be a two month wait to get an appointment. I waited weeks for that appointment to arrive until I honestly couldn’t stand what my brows had become for even a second longer. I regretfully cancelled my appointment and still regret it till this day! It was at that moment I started letting my brows gradually evolve into a fuller look. Yes, it has taken at least a decade for brows to become the statement that they are today, but when I see great brows, I’m in awe. Amazing brows change a persons entire face. Anastasia Beverly Hills is now legendary. She has an amazing line of cosmetics which of course started out targeting brows. One of her STAR products that she’s become famous for is her Dipbrow Pomade. It is simply remarkable. As I stated before, I’m usually a brow pencil user, but her Dipbrow fills in any sparse areas, keeps my tiny hairs in place and applies in a breeze with the perfect applicator. I use a color called Medium Brown because I like my brows to stand out. It compliments my skin tone and hair color perfectly. This is without a doubt one of my favorite discoveries of 2014.
