e.l.f. Concealer Brush: My Beauty Bargain

When was the last time you bought anything for a dollar? Let me tell you, this might be the best dollar I’ve spent in a long time. I’ve reviewed quite a few e.l.f. products in the past and I’ve always been impressed. They are always super inexpensive but also pretty amazing. I recently picked up this concealer brush at my local Target store for a dollar. I was in need of a concealer brush that would be precise when covering blemishes or skin imperfections. What I adore about this brush is it’s fine tip. It also works great at cleaning up your brow line. I’m definitely going to pick up a few more of these because they are perfect for so many makeup applications. It’s kind of amazing that I picked up a concealer brush for less than a pack of gum! Gotta love that-

Revlon Nail Enamel in Devine

With Fall right around the corner, it’s time to talk about some of the upcoming trends for fall. I love the deep, dark rick pigments that often accompany fall fashion. This season is no different. One of the must have basic staples for fall is a super dark burgundy nail. What I love about this trend, is while this color is super dark, it looks amazing with almost anything you wear. I picked up Revlon’s version of falls favorite color, called Devine at my local Walgreens for $5.29. The color is perfect. It has a bit of a metallic finish to it that really makes the color shine. I easily wore this polish for four days before I started noticing chipping. I alsoALWAYS layer a coat of Out The Door clear coat on top of my nails. It definitely helps keep my nails looking pristine days longer!

NYX Matte Lipstick in Shocking Pink

My website name basically says it all. I kind of feel like lipstick is my life. My lipstick choice often reflects my mood. Often times when I’m tired, under the weather or feeling less than attractive, I reach for my boldest brightest color! It might be my favorite pick-me-up trick of all time. I don’t even know how to explain it, but the second I put on my favorite lipstick, I’m instantly transformed! I was introduced to NYXcosmetics about a year ago and instantly fell in love with their matte lipsticks. My recent purchase was this bold, bright pink called Shocking Pink, $6 at CVS.com. I love how pigmented all of the NYX lipsticks are and they definitely stay put for hours (unless you’re kissing of course!) The colors are so intensely bright, it truly blows my mind. I’m absolutely in love with every NYX product I’ve tried so far. Stay tuned for more reviews on this amazing line…

Happy Friday! Just another Night in Hollywood…

Sometimes my life seems pretty darn unreal! I live in a town that is often times “Smoke & Mirrors”, but once in a while a person literally blows me away. While I was at a local bar with friends last night in Hollywood, I had the pleasure of meeting one of the artists from the Family Guy. He was honestly one of the sweetest and most humble guys I’ve met in a long time. In a town full of self absorbed people, this guy was a breath of fresh air. As he quietly sat sketching me in between brief glances, I noticed he was slightly uncomfortable with being put on the spot, and just as quickly as he drew me, he disappeared as he didn’t want anyone to make a big deal over him. I went out of my way to track him down and thank him for such an amazing piece of art thatI will forever treasure! I realize this post is a little off topic, but I definitely wanted to share with you about my great night in Hollywood and how the kindness of others truly makes a lasting impression. Diptyque Eau de Lierre

Want a fragrance that oozes sex appeal? I have one word for you…DIPTYQUE! The same company that makes the intoxicating candles has also developed a line of fine fragrances. I’m obsessed with scents that people can’t guess what I’m wearing or name. It’s almost like having your own signature scent. You can find the Diptyque line at Nordstrom.com and the scent that I’m obsessed with is called Eau de Lierre. It retails for $90 for a 1.7 oz bottle. What I love about this fragrance is it’s a somewhat woodsy but subtle floral scent that instantly calms my nerves. It is the kind of scent that will leave people thinking about you long after you’ve left the room. Have you ever heard the term out of sight out of mind? That definitely will not be the case here!
