Essie Nail Polish in Russian Roulette

I’m a girl that always keeps my nails painted. The only reason I have not done a review on my favorite polishes yet is because I don’t have the most photogenic hands! Yes, they are always well manicured, but let’s just say I don’t have the most elegant fingers. Enough about my shortcomings and on to the review. You can never go wrong with a great red nail polish. Red nails pair well with almost every outfit. I am that girl that NEVER gets manicures, ever. I always paint my nails myself. With my super busy schedule, I have to use a polish that stays chip-free for at least four or five days. This Essie polish in Russian Roulette, $8 at Essie.com, is the perfect red orange color and it lasts for days. The key to keeping your nails looking picture perfect is using a great base coat and a high shine quick dry top coat. I adore Out The Door clear coat to finish off my nails. This extra layer of protection helps to keep my color stay put and makes them look extra shiny. There is something about a great manicure that just makes you feel feminine. Although, I definitely don’t mind getting my hands dirty, I’m a girly girl at heart

Wet n Wild MegaLast Lip Color in Purty Persimmon

I was not going to use this photo at all because I thought it might be a little goofy for my blog and it’s obviously an outtake! But there are two things I absolutely love in this picture. My friend’s dog Capone, and my lipstick by Wet n Wild. Yes ladies, I said Wet n Wild. This is another one of those finds that came as a recommendation from a friend. It’s almost an exact dupe for one of my favorite lipsticks by YSL called Le Orange. Although I must admit, this one has better staying power and does not dry my lips out at all. The color I am wearing is called Purty Persimmon #970 and it was only $1.99 at my local Walgreens. By the way, have I ever mentioned I live across the street from one of the biggest Walgreens in the Country? It is actually like going to Sephora. Well, that’s another story for another day. By now you all know my obsession with bright lips. All I can say is, at least I caught someone’s attention, huh Capone? I love you Pony Boy!

Sonia Kashuk’s Illuminating Bronzer in Goddess

With the summer like weather we are having here in California, yes, it’s 81 degrees in January! I was definitely getting the urge to pull out my favorite bronzer, especially since I’ve been wearing tank tops and skirts all week. I discovered Sonia Kashuk’s Illuminating Bronzer in Goddess a few years ago and absolutely fell in love with it. The color is amazing and it has a sublte shimmer that imparts the perfect glowing complexion. It’s also great as a highlighter across the bridge of your nose. Even though I’m part Cherokee Indian, I get really pale in the winter months and this bronzer does that trick to liven up my skin tone. Sonia Kashuk’s Bronzer is very similar to Bobbi Brown’s shimmer brick but much more affordable at $10.99 for a good size compact. Pick one up today and get GLOWing-

Dolce & Gabbana’s “The Eyeshadow” in Fortune

Oh, what can I say, I have an obsession with all Dolce & Gabbana cosmetics. I haven’t met one that I didn’t like yet! Although, I normally do a brighter lip these days, I still adore a good smokey eye. There is nothing sexier than a smokey, sultry eye paired with a nude or light lip. If you have lighter eyes, a smokey eye definitely makes your eyes pop. One of the hottest hues of the season is plum. I love Dolce & Gabbana’s “The Eyeshadow” in Fortune, $42 at saksfifthavenue.com. These shadows are super pigmented and are easy to blend. I highlighted my brow bone with the lighter color and then heavily blended the deep plum color with my Bobbi Brown neutral brown shadow. Dolce & Gabbana cosmetics are sold at select Saks Fifth Avenue stores and Sephora.com. If you are in the L.A. area, you have to go see Russ at the Beverly Hills Saks Fifth Avenue store. He’s the absolute best! If you can’t make it to the store, he’s such a pro, I’m sure he could help you over the phone. I’m confident you will love this eyeshadow ( & Russ) as much as I do!BTW- The dress I’m wearing in the picture above was one of our designs from our clothing line Talulah Designs– I adore all things Leopard & Lace!

Sephora Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover

When you wear as much makeup as I do, you definitely need a great eye makeup remover that will remove everything in one quick sweep. This Sephora Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover, $10 at sephora.com, is one of the best removers I have come across. It is extremely gentle but still powerful. It does a great job at removing waterproof mascara and also removes eyelash glue. It never leaves behind an oily residue either. This has definitely become one of my staples in my skincare routine. I just can’t live without it. After all, beautiful makeup starts with a fresh, clean canvas.
