I can totally relate! With the Holidays coming to an end and attending one too many parties myself ( oh, and let’s not forget the glasses of champagne! ) My skin has been dry and lack luster as well. One of my all time favorite masks is by Bliss. It is their Triple Oxygen Energizing Mask that they have become known for. You only leave it on for five minutes and it makes a huge difference. It’s hard to explain, but you can actually feel the oxygen bubbles invigorating your skin. What you are left with is a beautiful, GLOWING complexion. It’s a little pricey, but worth it and one bottle lasts for months. It’s like a miracle in a bottle…and you’ll look like you got eight hours of sleep!
Even if you’re on a budget, there are tons of great products you can pick up at the drugstore. My grandmother always had the most beautiful porcelain skin and she only used the original Oil Of Olay her entire life. She told me the best thing I could do for my skin is to stay out of the sun. She was 100% right. My advice is to buy a good all around moisturizer that addresses your skins concerns and if it doesn’t contain an SPF, layer sunblock on top during the day. Neutrogena has some great face sunblocks that work well under your makeup. If you have fine lines or wrinkles, I suggest adding a treatment serum prior to applying your moisturizer. The entire Olay line is wonderful and is available at an affordable price! Beautiful skin doesn’t have to cost a fortune-

I like to pick one feature to showcase at a time. Whether it’s an amazing smokey eye or a bold, bright lip, pick one and go for it! When I wear a smokey eye, I line my eyes with a dark charcoal or black liner and smudge it with my favorite grayish brown shadow. The color is so rich and intense that I definitely want to draw attention to my eyes. A pale, nude lip is the perfect companion to sultry eyes.

Being a girl with EXTREMELY dry skin myself, skin preparation is everything. I always use a serum with a moisturizer for dry skin layered on top. I let my cream sit on my skin for at least five minutes before applying my primer. I never do my makeup without first applying an anti aging primer. Primers fill in those pesky fine lines and help keep your skin perfectly hydrated and flawless for hours. Two of my favorite primers are Amazing Cosmetics Anti Aging Primer and Hourglass No 28 Serum Primer. Both are excellent for dry skin and work beautifully during the cold winter months. If you are on the fence, Sephora is always great at giving samples. They usually give you a sample big enough to last three or four days. That’s more than enough time to decide if you love it or not!

This is one of my favorite topics! Everyone knows how much I LOVE my red lipstick. Years ago I discovered one of the most brilliant products ever invented… clear lip liner. You only need this one liner for every lipstick you own. My favorite version is by Make Up For Ever and it’s called Lip Line Perfector. I apply a quick coat around my lip line and then apply my boldest, brightest hues. My lipstick never bleeds or runs outside of my lip line. In my opinion, this just might be the best $19 I’ve ever spent.
