Happy Thanksgiving to You and Yours

I have so much to be thankful for and after an intense two month journey (and still going) of self discovery, rebalance, lots of hard word and guidance, my perspective on life has forever changed. I am truly blessed in so many ways. Every day we must remind ourselves of all of the amazing things we are grateful for. Life is often times difficult and stressful. Each day, take a few minutes to focus on one positive aspect of your life, even if it seems like you are in a sea of darkness.

What I am the most grateful for in life are things money can’t buy. I have an amazing family, supportive friends and loved ones and I have my health and the ability and opportunity to do and achieve anything I want in life. I’m also blessed to have such great readers and followers and I love connecting with each and every one of you! You have become my family too-

I want to wish you the Happiest Thanksgiving and an amazing day spent with family, friends and loved ones- xx

Eucerin Original Healing Lotion

With Winter quickly arriving, not only do we get the cold, crisp nights but we also get the dreaded DRY SKIN! Of course the second the weather changes, my skin becomes extremely dry and itchy. But to top that, my eczema starts flaring! Ugh. So I was on the hunt for a new body cream that would work overtime on my super reactive skin. I repeatedly kept coming across reviews of Eucerin Original Healing Lotion and how amazing it is for people with eczema. I quickly placed and order online at Amazon as their prices were significantly less than my local Walgreens. My much anticipated cream arrived the next day. I slathered on a hefty layer before going to bed and immediately felt relief. When I woke up the next morning, my skin was feeling a lot less itchy and dry. Over the next week, my skin was at least 75% better. I must warn you, this stuff is thick! But it will leave your skin with a nice sheen, which I love. If dry winter skin has turned in to the “Itchy and Scratchy Show”…you’ll definitely want to give this a try. Your skin will thank you-

Madison Reed Root Touch Up Powder in Dark Brown

Have you ever had that moment when you look in the mirror and you are like “What has happened to all of my hair?” I used to have three times more hair than I do now. I think there are numerous things contributing to my loss of hair, the main reason being my overactive thyroid! Ugh. Another contributing factor is I’m under way too much stress these days and the third is probably just the natural aging process…sigh. Whatever the factor, I have been experiencing a double whammy with the new appearance of sporadic gray hairs!!! Ladies, when it rains it pours. I must admit I’m quite blessed when it comes to the gray department as I have not had to color my hair in over 15 years. I knew the day would come where I would HAVE to spend hundreds of dollars every six weeks and color my hair, but up until now, I literally would only occasionally get one or two gray hairs. Lately I’ve been getting 5 to 10. I’m not at the point where I need to color my hair but I also need to stop pulling out those random gray hairs!

On a recent trip to my beloved Sephora, I stumbled across a product at the checkout line. It was a product called Madison Reed Root Touch Up. I quickly snatched it up but decided to not purchase it at that time since it was $30 and virtually looked like eyeshadow (which has been my secret weapon for covering my thinning hair at the hairline for the past few months). So when I got home, I couldn’t stop thinking about this product. I started to do a bit of research and quickly realized I NEEDED this product in my life.

A few days later I returned to my local Sephora and snatched this little gem up. Since my hair is pretty dark, I bought the Dark Brown color which for reference is the second to the darkest color in the line of 7 shades. The packaging is quite impressive and the compact even comes with it’s own pouch, The application is a breeze as well. I apply mine at the hairline and along my part and on the scalp in the area where my hair is thinning. It covers the few grays I have beautifully and stays put. It doesn’t even transfer on my pillowcase at night. It makes my hair seem so much fuller too! It’s amazing what a little trickery can do. So in the meantime while I’m waiting for my supplements to kick back in and my thyroid to settle down, I’ve found the perfect quick fix for when my hair is looking less than stellar.

NYX Dewy Finish Setting Spray

I must admit I’m absolutely in LOVE with this Dewy Finish Setting Spray by NYX. Being a girl that always wears a full face of makeup, sometimes I just want a dewy finish. My usual Dolce & Gabbana powder tends to go a bit more matte but still a beautiful non-cakey finish. But there are days (and nights) when I want my skin to look dewy. This setting spray by NYX does the trick in a couple quick sprays. I’ve found that it is best to spray your face before you put on your eyeliner or mascara just to prevent it from running. The finish is absolutely perfect! It makes your makeup melt into your skin leaving the perfect dewy look. It also helps your makeup last for hours without the need for touch ups. This is definitely a must have, especially for those winter when our skin tends to get drier. It’s also perfect for that late afternoon pick-me-up as well to rev up your skin. Trust me, you will want to get your hands on this ASAP! You’re WELCOME-xx
