Dry Brushing: The Celebrity Secret to Beautiful Skin

Do you ever wonder how all of these celebrities always look like they have perfectly glowing skin? One of their secrets is dry brushing. Dry brushing promotes stimulation, exfoliates dead skin and since the brushing motion promotes stimulation it also helps combat cellulite! Amen. It has quickly become part of my morning routine. I start at my ankles and work my way up, concentrating on my derriere and finishing with my torso and arms. It is a great way to relax and cool down after my morning workouts and right before I jump in the shower. Dry brushing helps keep your skin glowing and firm. It also feels pretty darn amazing! I picked up a two pack on Amazon for $7.99. I had read tons of reviews before I decided on one because I didn’t want a brush that was too stiff. My skin is super sensitive and I didn’t want anything that would hurt! This one is just perfect. So if you are starting to think about perfecting your skin and body for the summer months, dry brushing is something you’ll want to incorporate into your daily routine. Now go brush away!

Jergens Instant Sun Self Tanner in Deep Bronze

Well here we go again. I’m always on a constant quest for amazing self tanners and as you may know, this self tanning thing can get expensive! I certainly have some favorites but they are pretty pricey. I had read some great reviews of the new Jergens Instant Sun Self Tanner in Deep Bronze and thought it would be worth a try considering it’s only $12.99. Let me say, this self tanner has quickly become one of my favorites. It has a beautiful rich, olive tone that dries quickly and best of all, it doesn’t come off on my crisp white sheets when I sleep! It is a mousse, which I LOVE and I use my Xen Tan mitt to apply it in a breeze. With this hot L.A. weather, a subtle tan is the best way to add a glow to your skin. It also helps camouflage flaws and of course, because it’s fake, you are saving your skin from baking in the sun. Sun damage is the number one culprit that causes our skin to age prematurely. So go rock this beautiful Jergens tan, but remember to still apply that sunblock! Trust me, your skin will thank you years down the road- xx

Coconut Oil : The Perfect Eye Make Up Remover

As you know, I have extremely sensitive skin and lately my eczema has been horrible! Maybe even the worst it has ever been. I’m sure it’s stress related but who isn’t under a lot of stress these days…right? Anyway, I have to be super careful what I use on my skin. I have heard many great uses for coconut oil, so when I ran out of my eye makeup remover a month ago, I reached for my Trader Joe’s Coconut Oil. It was so soothing and took my eye makeup off in a breeze. It did not cause any sort of irritation to my already irritated skin. I have friends that use coconut oil as a moisturizer and also as a quick treatment for fly aways in their hair, but I have ever only used coconut oil to cook with. I was super impressed with my new found use for this inexpensive grocery store buy. Give it a try, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!

Trader Joe’s Head to Toe Moisturizing Balm

Who doesn’t love Trader Joe’s?  I’m lucky enough to actually live right above a Trader Joe’s! (or not so lucky?) Anyway, on my latest trip I happened to notice this new Head to Toe Moisturizing Balm for just $3.99. I quickly snatched it up so I could keep it on my nightstand to moisturize my lips before bed. But what I quickly realized is, this balm is a true multi tasker! Not only is it great for my lips, I use it on my cuticles, elbows, my dry feet and also to tame my fly away hairs. Yep, this little baby does it all. It is extremely moisturizing without being overly greasy. It smells amazing too! The tin is a decent size and will probably last me an entire year. I always love discovering new products that make my routine even easier. What’s even better is that it’s affordable! Gotta love that-

NYX HD Concealer

With my super hectic schedule and lifestyle, I tend to have pretty dark under eye circles. I’m constantly on the hunt for a concealer that will hide my dark circles and NOT accentuate my fine lines. On a recent trip to ULTA, I was browsing the NYX section and it dawned on me that I was almost out of my concealer. Since of course I’m always up for trying new things, I quickly snatched up this NYX HD Concealer in the color FAIR. I had a coupon, so the total price for this miracle concealer was just $3.99. I will say, I’m in LOVE with this concealer. Not only is it the perfect color for my skin tone, it is super pigmented without being heavy or dry. It does not settle in my lines at all. After I apply the concealer I set it with my usual Dolce & Gabbana highlighting powder because it has a reflective property to it. The combo is pure perfection. I will be honest and say there isn’t a NYX product that I’ve met that I have NOT liked yet! I also want to give a shout out to Maris from PRIMLARK Jewelry. She sent me the custom initial necklace I wore during this shoot. Please check out her store. She creates beautiful pieces and can customize her jewelry to fit your needs. This necklace has quickly become a favorite piece of mine! Thanks again for sharing the LOVE. I love it when I meet other ambitious women following their dreams. BRAVO!
