Out The Door Fast Drying Top Coat

One of my all time favorite products is Out The Door fast drying top coat. I have been using this top coat for at least five years now. I love this top coat for many reasons. First and foremost it dries my nails in 60 seconds flat! I also love the glossy finish it adds to any nail polish I have on. It keeps my nails looking pristine for days and also prevents them from chipping. No manicure is ever complete without Out The Door, $4.99 at CVS.com. Often times I find the only time I have to do my nails is right before bed, and we all know how that usually works out. You wake up in the morning with the dreaded ruined manicure. Well, not with Out The Door. Problem solved. Beautiful, glossy nails are just 60 seconds away…who doesn’t love that?

GlyDerm Intense C Serum PM

Beautiful makeup starts with beautiful, healthy skin. I have been an avid user of serums for at least fifteen years. Through the years, I have switched the types of serums I used based on my skins needs as I age. One of my favorite types of serums are C Serums. Serums are always applied to your skin first before moisturizers, eye creams, etc. because they have the ability to penetrate the deeper layers of our skin. I recently had the chance to try Intense C Serum PM by GlyDerm, $50 at Dermstore.com. From the moment I applied this to my skin, I fell in LOVE. What I adore about this formula is, even though I have extremely sensitive skin, I had no adverse reactions or irritation that I sometimes experience with other treatment serums. From the first night I used this, I woke up with beautiful, glowing and hydrated skin. Where GlyDerm’s C Serum differs from other brands I’ve used, is their patented QuSome technology. QuSomes encapsulate the L-ascorbic acid and enhances it’s ability to penetrate the skin at a deeper level. Glycolic acid smoothes and softens the skin, while the L-ascorbic acid promotes collagen synthesis. After I apply my serum, I always layer a rich moisturizer on top followed by my Caudalie Premier Cru eye cream. Well, enough about the technical stuff! The bottom line is this stuff works. We are never too young to start incorporating serums in to our skincare routine. One of the biggest myths is to treat problems once they arise. Wet n Wild MegaLast Lip Color in Cherry Picking

MegaLast Lip Color by Wet n Wild has quickly become one of my favorite lipsticks. First and foremost, these little babies are cheap! I usually can find then for around $2 at Walgreens. I have them in so many colors, but my latest discovery called Cherry Picking, is the perfect vibrant but deep fuschia that looks great on any skin tone. What I love about these lipsticks is they are super pigmented, non drying and last for hours. I have so many high end lipsticks and I will say, these definitely give my $34 lipsticks a run for their money. I always prime my outer lip line with my favorite clear lip liner by Make Up Forever called Lip Line Perfector, $19 at Sephora.com. It is my go to for all of the dark or vibrant colors I wear. It also prevents your lipstick from bleeding outside of your lip line. This combo is absolute perfection. Now pucker up! xo

Laughing Keeps You Young

I feel like I probably laugh more than anyone ever should! I have the funniest friends and family on the planet. There is that saying that “like attracts like.” I definitely believe that. One of my best friends always says to me when I’m down, “Just smile, it’s impossible to be sad when you are smiling.” She is absolutely right. The very second I smile, my mood changes. There have been studies that not only show that laughing keeps us young by relieving stress, which is in turn good for our heart, but while smiling, we appear three years younger than our actual age! Who doesn’t love looking younger? I always remember the theory that it takes more muscles to frown than it does to smile. When I researched that, there were a million different theories. So I’m not quite sure if there is scientific evidence to back it up, but I do know my days are so much better when I laugh. After all, laughter is the best medicine!

Dolce & Gabbana Shaping Eyebrow Pencil

One of the best ways to define your face and especially your eyes, is with well manicured eyebrows. Bold brows have definitely made a comeback and I love it! In my younger years, I had the eyebrows the size of Brooke Shields. Oh yes, I remember not liking them one bit! Looking back on it now, my overly bushy eyebrows definitely made my eye color pop, but that didn’t stop me from plucking away. I am a girl that always makes sure my brows are kept in shape. The best way to do that is a good pair of tweezers and the proper eyebrow pencil ( ladies, step away from the tweezers! DO NOT OVER PLUCK ) as we age, those tiny hairs actually don’t grow back as fast, and sometimes they don’t grow back at all. So preserve what you have and just pluck the strays. I had the chance to try Dolce & Gabbana’s new Shaping Eyebrow pencil, $45 at saksfifthavenue.com. I truly love the texture of these pencils. On one end you have the retractable pencil itself, and on the other you have the spool to tame your brows. These are available in just four colors, but boy did they nail it. I am wearing Chestnut, and it matches my dark brown hair perfectly. I found that the pencil glides on smoothly without tugging on your brows. It also has a bit of a waxy texture to help keep your brows in place. It’s truly amazing how a perfectly shaped brow changes your entire face. BOLDER is definitely better!
